2020 Christmas card: Merry Christmas!

UPDATE: Hint page added (see below)

It’s been quiet at The Logic Escapes Me for a while but 2020 is almost over so it’s about time I started posting again. And what better way to get back into things than to wish you all a Merry Christmas? It’s traditional to send Christmas cards at this time of year, so I created the card below to share some festive joy. My graphic skills aren’t great but it’s probably still worth clicking on it to appreciate it in its full glory.

Merry Christmas one and all!

OK, you’ve probably guessed by now that there’s a puzzle element to this Christmas card. Hopefully, it’s pretty accessible with some relatively straightforward challenges but also a few to keep you thinking. Note that to solve many of the puzzles you’ll need to know some standard codes. I recommend Googling “Puzzled Pint codesheet” for a pretty full set (although that will still miss you at least a couple). I could explain everything to my ten-year old, so if you find yourself looking up Vigenère ciphers you’re going down the wrong path!

If you want to check your answers/get hints/ask questions (or show off!) then feel free to drop me an email or DM me on Slack/Twitter/Facebook. Alternatively, if you’re shy then I’ve created a Google spreadsheet that you can use to validate answers: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OhHJG3yQ058oEyxgG9i2K6zdXrocO0PBfzWfcxYVbgQ. [You can’t edit that sheet but you can copy it – so you’ll need your own Google account]

Finally, while I’m very happy to answer questions and provide hints, I’ve now created a hint page. Hopefully reasonably self-explanatory but click on a puzzle to get the next level of hint. I haven’t included answers for now but if you think I should add them then let me know:
