It’s been an epic effort but, at last, I’ve finished my Budapest tourist guide. Everything you need to know about playing escape rooms in their European birthplace in one handy page…

A game that promised much – cool technology, a pretty set, fun puzzles and a great opening structure – but spectacularly failed to deliver on fun.

A game that had some enjoyable puzzles but which had the edge taken off by too many red herrings, a lack of signposting on what you were meant to be doing and a finale that was lacklustre.

A fresh brand from an established company, AROOM seems to be aiming at the premium market and the game we played certainly suggests they’re putting together experiences to match that goal.

A fast-paced room that mixed good puzzles with pretty decoration and humorous moments. Definitely a feelgood game.

A review of the fourth room from Mystery Games. Thematically low lighting, red herrings and a lack of signposting but still a good game!

A review of two of the newer games at Mystique Escape Rooms. Towers of Woolongong was pretty dull but Pirate Bay was an excellent adventure that I’d thoroughly recommend to enthusiasts.
