Two games with high-quality decoration throughout that really conveyed their themes. Both are well worth playing, even in the high-quality Amsterdam market although, be warned that we found them a little lacking in signposting for some of the puzzles.
A company with a forgettable name but a memorable game. You might not be wowed straightaway but it just keeps getting better. Reasonable set design improved throughout the experience and after a disappointing start, the puzzles that followed were top quality challenges.
An immersive experience with fantastic theatre and the core puzzles are pretty good too. If you think you can cope with a scary escape room, then it comes highly recommended!
Two fantastic games that should definitely be on your to-do list, especially if you like scary attractions. Decoration is top-notch across the games. The End wins the story battle while Honeymoon Hotel comprehensively wins for quality and quantity of puzzles.
Two impressive games. The sets are magnificent, the puzzles are good, especially in Flight 815 and the eighty-minute duration gives you a real opportunity to get into the story.
A room that was so hard to rate I chose not to… It’s an evil set of challenges that will push almost any team to their limits and probably leave many frustrated. If you go in with your eyes open, then there’s a lot of fun to be had.
A review of three games at No Way Out in Vienna. Da Vinci and School of Magic are worth playing. Based on what I played, Belvedere isn’t but it felt like a work in progress.
Reviews of Pub and Vermillion. The former was an unusual theme with some good puzzles and cool reveals but some rough edges in a few of the puzzles. The latter while receiving good reviews from enthusiasts, didn’t work well for us although, at least in part, that was related to tech failure and misfortune in our order of solving the puzzles.
You’re unlikely to get another chance to play in quite such an impressive venue or with such interesting props and, for that alone, this game is worth playing. In spite of a weak start, it delivered a fun experience overall and, while there were certainly moments of frustration during the remainder of the game, they were outweighed by the experience.
A pretty game with lots of good puzzles. It might not blow the genre out of the water, but what it delivers, it delivers well and with style. If you’re in Vienna, it should be on your playlist.
