A venue that I wouldn’t recommend visiting in spite of some unusual games. One was truly terrible, one very poor and the third, an otherwise intriguing game that was ruined by a pointless automated clue system.

A review of two games in Den Bosch in the Netherlands. One room was badly affected by darkness while the other was OK but with an incredibly frustrating final puzzle.

A review of two escape rooms in Gent, Brussels which were so mainstream compared to nearby Locked Gent that I find it hard to recommend them unless you’re playing several games.

A review of the immersive theatre production, Prison Escape. Not an escape room but absolutely worth attending.

A review of two games hidden out in the forest near Best, the Netherlands. One game was distinctly mediocre apart from the decoration but the Conductor is a beautiful game that recreates the feel of a British station in a way that would be impressive in the UK let alone overseas and still manages to pack in good puzzles.

A review of one of the most talked-about rooms in the Netherlands. There were a surprising number of weak puzzles but that was more than made up for by a great introduction and an amazing set.

A review of the two games we played at The Circle in Veenendaal in the Netherlands. Very promising games but let down with weaker gameplay.

A round-up of the games we’ve played in and around Malaga including Prison Island, ParaPark and Torrenigma – by no means a complete set but at least something to point you in the right direction.

A quirky room that I wouldn’t recommend to beginners but will be interesting to some enthusiasts. Don’t expect lots of puzzles but do expect a more “real” ending to the game.

A fun game with a structure that should give enthusiasts decent value for money while not being too intimidating for first-timers.
