Thanks for the tip. I was actually aware of Hell in a Cell precisely because of your review which appeared on my radar in October last year (and in turn, I told the exitgames blog about it, which is how it got onto the country wide escape room map!).

To be honest, I’m not a big fan of serious scare attractions, but when I eventually make a trip across to Bristol to play the rooms there, Hell in a Cell will definitely be on my list based on what you’ve said in the review.

One good turn deserves another. If you’ve not heard of it, Mr Chuckles Funhouse in Macclesfield might appeal. http://www.escapequest.co.uk/mr-chuckles-funhouse.html
You can read an escape reviewer’s take on it here:

I can’t promise it will wow you as a scare attraction, but if you enjoy escape rooms too then it’s a great example of that on the side of the genre which you’re more interested in!

Thanks for this site! We’ve just done our 24th escape room, mostly across Europe, and it’s great that we’ve got a resource to weed out the good rooms in London. Thanks!

No worries. Glad to help. This list is just a starting point though – everyone’s taste is a bit different. If you’re ever looking for more detailed recommendations, send me an email and I’d be happy to help.

Thank you for your fantastic reviews. I am opening an escape room in the States and found your insight helpful. I wish I could pick your brain further! I would love to see some general blogs about Do’s, Don’t’s, Favorite Puzzles, etc. Thanks for all your hard work & time invested to keep this blog up. Nicely done!
